Technology should be used in the classroom in a way that makes sense to the students and the instructor. The technology should not take away from what the teacher is actually trying to get across to the students, but it should enhance and compliment what the teacher is trying to teach. The technology should be seamlessly integrated with the lesson plans and not stick out like a sore thumb during the lesson. Since science and technology are so intertwined, I do not think that it will be very hard to integrate technology appropriately, as long as I understand how to do so in an appropriate manner.
We should use technology in the classroom because it is a part of our daily lives, and students must be able to utilize it appropriately. As I have mentioned before, science and technology go hand in hand with one another, and as a science teacher it is my duty to teach my students how to utilize technology, and how it can benefit them and society.
